GROW helps dispensers assist clients to become unstuck

Two of our dispensing colleagues have specifically described their experiences in using the GROW Model to assist clients to move forward.

Elaine Norris used the model the day after the course, when she might otherwise have cut a consultation short and walked away. The result was a more motivated client who committed to having another consultation in which she wanted her husband to be present. A sure signal that the client was ready to take a step towards doing something about her hearing difficulties.

Bernard Tisley reports on his experience of using GROW in a dispensing situation noting that both the client and his wife identified that they had the same goals for his hearing situation and this resulted in an upgrade sale. The client also committed to working with Bernard to ensure that he gets the best from his aids. I was especially interested a comment that Bernard made, when he said "the sale was made before the test and I used the test to confirm the loss and the suitability of the aids we had discussed.

Well done Elaine and Bernard on your use of GROW and I am sure further success stories will follow.
